Now that the summer boating season is underway, Discover Boating's media outreach efforts have begun heating up! Discover Boating's Chicago captain, Rob Newsome, was recently featured on a segment called the “Weekend Web” with NBC5 Chicago’s Charlie Wojciechowski. Rob and Charlie appeared on the infamous Michigan Avenue in a brand new 276 Cobalt (thank you, Gordy’s Marine!) to discuss the latest in boating technology and how to get out on the water in Chicago this summer.
Unfortunately, the station wasn’t able to get a camera crew down to the harbor, so we brought the boat to them! Being parked in the heart of Michigan Avenue during morning rush hour turned out to be a really great visual – the entire segment really brought to life the benefits of the boating lifestyle and the latest hot products to check out before hitting the water this summer.
